🌡️ Temperature control in buildings: how optimizing it helps businesses.

We continue our exploration of a successful case study: let's talk about thermoregulation.



In the last article, we looked at how one of our client companies, Conceria Zonta, began a digital transition path in order to #optimize and make their plant and production department more efficient, starting with energy consumption management.

One of the milestones of this optimization project was the management of temperature control, an aspect that revolutionized the company's energy landscape: the collaboration with Innovation System enabled detailed monitoring of ambient temperature and humidity, leveraging the technology of the OnSystem IoT platform.





Let's look at the various points in detail:


  • Advanced compensator control: a crucial objective was to manage the compensator, an essential device for connecting the primary and secondary hydraulic circuits. Through the installation of dedicated sensors, the company achieved detailed temperature checks of the compensator, moreover optimizing the drying of hides without further energy waste.

  • Optimization of hide drying: the use of sensors to regulate heat and cold during hide drying enabled precise temperature control, minimizing energy consumption without compromising the quality of the production process.

  • Active setpoint management: the company implemented an IoT solution for detailed monitoring of ambient temperatures and humidity. This enabled the precise adjustment of setpoints, the desired values of temperature and humidity, through temperature controllers, ensuring environmental comfort while avoiding further energy loss.

Continuing our exploration of how thermoregulation impacts businesses in positive ways, we see how this technology affects other business devices and systems. In fact, with our Onsystem IoT platform it is possible to go and regulate even:


  • Heat pumps: accurate management of heat pumps enables optimized energy use, reducing consumption and ensuring consistent thermal comfort.

  • Air conditioning: accurate management of air conditioning, such as air conditioners and heating, enables an optimal working environment, contributing to employee well-being and business efficiency.

  • Fancoils: fancoil ventilation systems allow precise control of airflow and temperature. This contributes not only to the thermal comfort of rooms, but also to even air distribution.

  • Controlled Mechanical Ventilation (VMC): VMC is a system that ensures adequate air exchange in indoor spaces. Thermoregulation here is important to ensure the right temperature and humidity in the incoming air.

  • Boilers and central heating plants: their control is essential to maintain constant heat production with optimized energy consumption. Various parameters such as water quantity, cubic meters, temperature, and more can be monitored and adjusted.

Through temperature control, it is possible to program in detail when to activate (times and days of the week) and define specific systems, such as underfloor heating. These settings can be managed on the platform in automatic or manual mode, allowing flexibility and adaptability to business needs. In addition, remote management allows these parameters to be controlled and adjusted wherever you are.


CQSensor

One of the innovative solutions to optimize corporate temperature control is the use of the CQSensor (Control Quality Sensor), a multisensor made and designed entirely by us for precise monitoring of indoor air quality, which captures and analyzes environmental data, including parameters such as temperature and humidity, in real time.


With this advanced technology, the CQSensor can read environmental values such as CO2, VoC, PM, PIR and precisely regulate air conditioners and heat pumps, and then send the data to the OnSystem platform.


All of these points emphasize how thermoregulation contributes not only to improved thermal comfort but also to optimized management of energy resources, demonstrating how a holistic approach to sustainability can revolutionize the business landscape.
